Putting your hopes and goals on paper is powerful! Join Connecting Community to create your own beautiful vision board that represents your vision for 2019. All materials provided. Not "crafty" or "artsy"? No problem! We will have fun sharing stories and tapping into our creativity together. Feel free to bring snacks if you'd like to. There will be toys and activities for children.
Monica has been doing vision boards as her New Year tradition for years and will share her stories of how her hopes manifested into reality! Try it out and see if you'd like to make this a new tradition for you or your family.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know if you'd like to join the fun! Or feel free to post a comment or question below.
This January, Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship's Religious Education program will be focused on racial justice learning, led by BUF's Black Lives Matter ministry action team. Classes will be held during the Sunday service on Jan 06, Jan 13, and Jan 20 from 10:30-11:30. All are welcome!
On January 6 and 13, Younger classes will explore skin color, diversity, and learn how “We are different, we’re the same” with hands-on activities and stories. Older classes will learn about building equitable interracial relationships, being an ally, and some history of racial injustice through role-play and discussion.
On Jan. 20 BUF will hold an Intergenerational Sunday. Children will share what they have learned about racial injustice and, along with RE team members and Black Lives Matter, will facilitate small group discussions about racial injustice ending with a message of hope and healing.
